Just a heads up to everyone - Lois Trelor downloaded the driver for the new Canon advance series, and they now have what they call a "secured printing" function which works on the new Advance series products. It works the same way that Locked print does, where you insert a user name and password. This is new to this series of products.

Team, Please pass along to your teams. Here is some updated info that will be inlcuded in the. latest Fiery Club ppt. The newest AP/AT products support GW scan which is through the E-3100 and the E-5100. The C6000/C7500 use the E-7100 and the ProC550EX/C700EX use the E-8100 both of which do not allow GW scan and Fiery printing. The new Venus coming in FEB will use the E-7200 which will allow GW scan and Fiery print

In legacy HW and MPS scenarios seems like using non-OEM toners makes the most sense. If MPS is ideally brand-agnostic, then why not the supplies too? So regardless what HP says, you know they are using generics in many of their own MPS accounts too. Plus there is a reason that Xerox sells third party Canon and HP cartridges right from its website! Does anyone know if MFRs have a way to ensure that their OEM toners are used in their channel MPS programs or otherwise? Any thoughts?

wyzguynyuk: We use GE and Great America. The problem with GE is that sometimes they would go back to the customer and say they under estimated and have to collect the difference, thereby defeating the purpose of including it. Great America's rates are higher, but there are no surprises. We've decided to include personal property tax in all leases for tax exempt customers. It is at this time at the sales persons discretion to include it on taxable customers. Sometimes the $1 buy-out is cheaper

Over and over again I've found that IT guys are total email monsters. You can call 10 times...nothing. Throw out an email and bang they are back online. This ability was available through the current PageScope Mobile App.I have installed the new firmware and got it working. I can't stand dealing with people like that. Such a pain in the ass. I recently had a lady who refused to see me when I came by, return my calls and return my emails. She went and bought a new machine from someone else but her lease had already renewed. She immediately started calling and emailing me about how to fix it. When I explained to her she didn't provide notice to the leasing company she said the lease wasn't valid because the person who signed it didn't work there anymore.... I...

We have probably put it on 3 machines since it came out andthe funny thing was it was our sales rep who is almost 70 years old. He loves that panel.My younger guys could care less it seems. King of backwards in my mind. I haven't quite found the practicality of it other than making everything "look" like a tablet. If they could make it as functional as the new Samsung 10.1 tablet on the MFP's it may become more practical. Just my $0.02

Discipline is not just beneficial, it's absolutely necessary for those who aspire to achieve high standards in any endeavor. It requires consistent effort, practice, and a willingness to learn from failures and or setbacks.

I encourage you to take massive amounts of responsibility for your choices.

Achieving greatness is framed as a conscious decision that involves setting high goals and committing to the effort required to meet them.

As we kick off our time together, I ask you to please consider choosing the path of discipline and excellence to avoid the long-term disappointment associated with settling for anything less.

There's not a day that goes by, where you're faced with decisions that will either make you better or possibly worse. With extreme certainty, most of the time these decisions go unmade.

In a sales world that often rewards conformity and settling for the status quo, daring to step beyond mediocrity can feel like an uphill battle. Societal expectations, team pressures, social media, and successful but conventional role models can make the frequent path seem appealing.

The comfort zone, characterized by routine and safety, becomes the breeding ground for mediocrity. It's where growth stagnates, and innovation dies.

The comfort zone, also known as the mediocrity zone, prevents many from challenging themselves, learning new skills, and pushing their boundaries. The first step in rejecting mediocrity is recognizing the comfort zone for what it is, a limitation, not a refuge.

For many in sales, this means unfulfilled potential, lackluster achievements, and the haunting question of "What if?" Mediocrity breeds complacency, and complacency kills one's ambition, creativity, and the drive to excel.

When it comes to defining mediocrity, let's defer to the Cambridge dictionary that defines it as...

The quality of being not very good.

A person that is not very good at something or not very good at anything in particular, or something that is not very good.

Let's apply to sales... The mediocre salesperson is not really bad, but they’re not really good either, they're someone who’s halfway between failure and success, and as a result, become frustrated and unfulfilled.

This salesperson does just enough to get by but never goes the extra mile.

A mediocre sales life can be a difficult way to live. This means you've made a conscious choice to settle for what you have while never pushing yourself out of your comfort zone.

This places limits in how far you take things and how consistently you achieve or bust through your quota gates.

It concerns me how many salespeople would rather stay in their comfort zone fueled by mediocrity than to force themselves to become better, to stay above average, to not be viewed as a sales rep or an empty suit.

When it comes to mediocrity, I view it as someone who avoids the challenges, the opportunities to become better, choosing to find the excuses.

A mediocre salesperson has difficulty in recognizing and appreciating the effort and hard work that sales professionals have put in to achieve a certain level of sales mastery.

Average, mediocre salespeople are not remembered.

The heroes found in history books and even in the Bible are not average people, they're people who did extraordinary things.

They are the ones who went above and beyond what was expected of them. If you and I want to be remembered, we are going to have to choose to be people of excellence. What do you say?

This passage serves as a powerful reminder that your work has significance beyond immediate results or recognition.

By committing yourself fully and viewing your efforts as acts of service, you can find deeper meaning in your daily tasks and cultivate a fulfilling approach to life and work, which goes beyond mediocrity.

Question for many of you right now... Why are you afraid of thinking big?

Too many of you are comfortable living in mediocrity. You choose to follow in the footsteps taken by many other sales reps because you believe it provides a sense of security.

Here me out on this one...

There are way too many sales reps out there who believe they are 'A' players but in reality, they're nothing more than 'C' players hiding inside an empty suit.

A mediocre mindset prevents those from becoming the best version of themselves.

They allow themselves to settle as they follow other like-minded sales reps down the same mediocre sales road, terrified of taking the steps towards loftier sales goals.

In addition the Ricoh product guide does not reveal the drum life. The MP 501 and 601's were also the Kyocera print engines. There are small differences between each model. In our time together, I'm going to encourage all of you to think differently about how you view perception.

Could opening the doors of perception inspire you to seek out and expand your understanding of reality, as you apply this to growing your sales?

Let's start by looking at the above quote in two ways and applying it to sales:

Things Known: Your everyday perception and understanding of reality, that being your client relationships and the impact this has to your sales growth.

Things Unknown: The vast realm of reality beyond your normal perception, that being gaining an understanding of the perception your clients have about you.

Why is all of this important? Because through the doors of your client's perception, lies their reality about you.

I believe that perception becomes a huge influencer in how your clients interpret and understand their reality. Their perception shapes their beliefs, emotions, and ultimately their decisions.

As a result, perception significantly impacts their experiences and interactions, both personally and professionally. By understanding and respecting their perception, this helps you become more effective in supporting, guiding and building trust.

Their perception, their reality. Change their perception, change their reality.

Understanding the relationship between perception and reality can be a powerful tool for your personal growth and client understanding.

This is going to require some critical thinking, open-mindedness, and the willingness to challenge your own perceptions to grow and adapt in an ever-changing business world.

Perception is your perspective, which is based upon your experience. Perception as defined in the Merriam-Webster dictionary, a result of observing, it is a physical sensation interpreted in the light of experience, while perspective is a mental view or prospect.

These definitions underline the way you view things, and this is based upon your past experiences. Your reality is comprised of a series of experiences that shape the way you see things.

"Perception molds, shapes, and influences our experience of our personal reality", says Linda Humphreys, PhD, a psychologist and life, relationship, and spirituality coach. "Perception is merely a lens or mindset from which we view people, events, and things."

Dr. Humphreys says that our past experiences greatly influence how we decode things.

Certain people, things, and situations may trigger someone to interpret things through a positive or negative lens based on those past experiences.

Let's tie all of this into how salespeople are perceived within the sales world... Need I say anymore?

Your first mirror moment:

  • When was the last time you've asked any one of your clients what they thought of you?
  • When was the last time you've asked any one of your clients the words, they'd use to describe you and how you've been taken care of them?

What concerns me is how many salespeople and their leadership have taken their clients for granted. They've flat out failed at building, nurturing and growing their client relationships.

Next time you have a conversation with one of your clients, ask yourself this question:

Am I being viewed as a sales rep or a sales professional?

PERCEPTION... IS THIS YOUR CLIENTS' REALITY?

Trust, it's the fundamental foundation in both personal and professional relationships. When trust is established, people feel safe to express their thoughts and ideas openly. Now, think about your clients.

When there's higher levels of trust, there's more honest conversation. People are more likely to share information, ask questions, and provide feedback when they believe their intentions are understood and respected. Now, think about your clients.

With trust, the likelihood of miscommunication diminishes. People are more inclined to assume positive intention, which helps prevent conflicts. Now, think about your clients.

It saddens me just how much rampant mistrust there is within the sales world.

Unfortunately, a stereotypical mindset runs wild throughout our society when it comes to salespeople.

Perception is in the eye of the beholder, and in the sales world that would be your clients.

I strongly believe that perception feedback and management become necessary for relational growth.

Relationship and promise bridges are collapsing right now, as moments of being let down are all too fresh in many of your client's mind.

Busted dreams and broken hearts have left many feeling abandoned and neglected.

This places a damper on those sales professionals who place their clients on a pedestal, placing their needs above their very own. They are faced with widespread prejudgment that they must overcome.

Your second mirror moment:

  • How well do you truly know your clients and how well do they truly know you?

I'm here to inform all of you that you must gain a true understanding of your client's mindset and perception of how they view you and how you're taken care of them.

Please realize, what you say, what you do and how you approach problems with your clients will have an immediate impact to your success, and their perception of you.

CHANGE THEIR MINDSET, CHANGE THEIR PERCEPTION

Cold doses of unfiltered feedback are necessary to grow.

Feedback from your clients become the vitamins and minerals needed to build a meaningful relationship.

I'm bringing this to the surface because there just might be a monumental gap between what your clients think of you versus what you believe it to be. Let what I just shared sink in for a moment.

How your clients perceive you just might be the key that unlocks the door to exponential sales growth.

The perception your clients have of you is mission critical for driving exponential sales growth. Understanding and managing client perception can significantly impact your sales success.

Again, your client's perception embodies the opinions, feelings, and beliefs they form about you based on their interactions with you. Plain and simple.

Your third mirror moment:

  • How many of you right now understand the impact this has to you?
  • How many of your clients see you as being available and helpful to them?
  • How many of your clients view you as being heartfelt, caring and trustworthy or inconsistent, blasé and just like all the others?

If you desire to be viewed as a sales professional, and change one's perception of you, then you must be willing to become someone who serves.

Start serving with every conversation and every interaction. Become that professional who leads with their heart and watch what starts to happen next.

Will you commit to taking massive action and put in the necessary time, energy, and heart to better understand your clients? My promise to you, if you do so, this will rapidly open the human window within your relationship.

Your ability to see things from another's viewpoint is indeed a key to success. Now, think about how this applies to your client relationships.

Many of you will find this exhausting and you know what, it's Ok. We all have choices, however; those of you who choose to lead with their heart and seek to serve their clients, will immediately change how they're perceived, guaranteed.

It's retooling your mindset by committing to:

  • Intentional and active listening
  • Empathy
  • Stewardship
  • Building Community
  • Fellowship
