Xerox & Lexmark Survey

Hey everyone, hope your News Years went well and we're all back on track for another year of selling office technology!

I posted a new survey last week for Xerox and Lexmark.  It's a rather deep survey with 10 questions and an open comment on the end.  If you have the time please take the survey, we're trying to get to 100 responses.  Once I receive the 100 I will close the poll and write a blog about the findings and our thoughts.

Ninestar paid $3.6B USD for Lexmark.  Xerox paid $1.5B USD for Lexmark.

Why such a big discount?

Is it possible that Lexmark signed so many big money losing deals over the years that Ninestar owned them that a huge unfunded liability was created with underwater service contracts?

Was NneStar desperate to escape this liability?

Xerox obviously did a detailed financial analysis to arrive at the purchase number they offered.

Certainly some discount had to be awarded due to the actions of the US gov't against NineStar but Lexmark was not a named participant.
