OK Copy Quality This system should not be a threat to our 6000 series as long as price is not a factor. If price is the factor, sell quality and reliablity against the Minolta CF1501/2002. some more items: No thick stock, no duplex thick stock. Art, What, specifically, do you mean by custom TR? By the way, there has been a shake up at TR...completely new from the top down to our territory reps. And they, based upon my experience, are a little green...hopefully these newbies will get up to speed soon! Ricoh is SUPPOSED (we all know how that goes) to have the TR connection kits available this month for the Aficio 1060/1075. Then we will finally have something to go up against Canon and Konica...including 12 x18"! As a footnote to this

hour. Of course if the volume is higher, say 100K per month, so are all the other numbers. In effect, you are dealing with a time machine. You, the time traveler, move through the universe (or your territory, if you're one of us puny earthlings) at a certain rate of speed. It probably takes you 30 minutes to drive 15 miles in the average city/suburb. However, during that 30 minutes, the copier would have produced a certain amount of copies and/or prints. If it was a personal copier, doing 100

Re: Scan to Email

·
Nope, just the e-mail interface built in to the 1060/75 print/scan option. One thing, if they are using some sort of internal e-mail server than you need to use that IP address as the SMTP (provided it is an SMTP server too) if not, then you are going to need to get the DNS and SMTP stuff directly from their ISP. If their entire network is behind some kind of internal software firewall, you will need to configure it to allow the 1060 to get outside of the firewall

Re: Scan Router and POP3

·
POP3 accounts are for recieving e-mail. If Scan Router PRO tries to recieve e-mail to deliver to a fax or something like that it will need POP3 information. Similar to the NIC fax unit on the 5510NF. If you don't need it to do POP3 recieveing and can turn it off, do that. The other option is to set up a "ghost" e-mail account to send the POP information to. SOME ISP's require POP authentication prior to allowing you to send SMTP e-mail. Some require POP and SMTP authentication and others

We have had several meetings on it and was supposed to be on board by now but back-to-back-to-back bad months put things on hold. Are you operating on OMD or La Cross? The real power is the relationship this can have with your service and sales records. If you are looking into this seriously, I would like to maintain an open dialog as we tip toe down this path together. jim@cbs-digital.com

User codes and such

Melissa (Guest) ·
Ok! Here we go! #1. On the 1224/1232 can the customer choose to "lock out" color? Not using user codes though. I know that with user codes they can restrict who uses which function. Also in the manual, it says that they customer can set a certain number of prints that a user code can print/copy/etc. Is this true? If so I know that it is the Key Counter Management feature, but how do I say that user 1234 can only make 150 color prints, or am I way off base here. Let me know! Melissa
