This Week in the Copier Industry Five Years Ago
First Week of December 2017
sponsored by
As we move into the last month of the year we need to keep in mind that our sales month of December is very short. With only twenty days available for sales the end of the month will arrive quicker than you think. For me, I need to focus on those opportunities that can close early so that decisions can be made in your time frame. I've found out through the years that you need to help yourself with defining your time frame to the clients.
I understand it's more about the clients timeline for purchasing however there are still many the clients that would be more than happy to help you with your goals. If you don't make mention of your intentions then that's your loss. Through it out there ans you'll be amazed at how many clients will want to help!
Enjoy These great Copier Threads from Five Years Ago This Week!

The key is the hardware cost to the dealer has to be set where I can make money on it. Also, if HP makes the hardware pricing available directly to the end user via the web the dealer community will never embrace their products and Ricoh, Canon, Konica Minolta and the rest will continue to dominate the A3 market.

If its out in the open and done as a promotion as mentioned above as being part of the proposal there is no problem. If its done in the dark by the sales rep or if the customer demands a kick pack as a condition of doing business there is a serious problem.

I call used machines "Off Lease" and tell the prospect to think of them as a program car, still very good but someone else took the retail hit. I say if a used machine needs to be re furbished I don't buy them. I don't sell used machines with high meters with the exception of Ricoh's "Greenline", we don't know the meters on those and I'm not impressed with those, lots of quality issues.
