I agree, Art...nothing to boost confidence like knowledge, and I saw and learned much from the Garage. The multi-page file scanning feature seems to be the thing that really seperates us from the pack, at least from what the prospect can easily understand w/out seeing. I also learned that as the toner gets depleted in the KIP, the prints begin to fade (heard this from a KIP dealer), and that the Xerox pc boards are a pain...expensive and hard to get (also heard this from a Xerox dealer). Lanier and RBS will be merging by April 1st. They will become Ricoh Business Systems. They are trying to take the best from both sides so a lot of the back end structure will come from Lanier. The head of sales is coming from Lanier. Head of marketing from Lanier. Head of accounting from RBS.

I have placed some IS300e with CL7200 systems. But it has been awhile since I did that. The quality will not stand up to the new MP-C serics. You can't add fax. You don't have the same touch screen. And printer supplies are higher cost. I think the time of this combo has passed with the MP-C2500/3000/3500/4500 unless you are in a real price fight with a printer - scanner combo.

Just got the price list and printing is not standard, they have the same 5 configurations. Plain jane; Print; print/Scan; print/scan/fax; print scan with doc mall. The print includes RPSC only. No more 1394. dropped the price a little. Had a bunch left over in the warehouse, I guess.

You need to make a change to one of the User Parameters. By default all of our fax systems has this feature turned on. Follow these steps to turn off the automatic printing of transmission reports. Once this is turned off, it will only print "error" confirmation reports. Press User Tools/Fax Features/Key Op Tools/Parameter Settings/Select Switch Number, for our case, select switch 03/Select Bit Number, for our case, select Bit 0. Change setting to 0(Off) or 1(On). Hi Schipol P 93 is scanner sub scan magnification. I need to adjust the printer only. Then comes the scanner adjustment. If I print a 300 mm line it will only be 298 mm on paper. It's a 5 unit deal...

Jason, It is every station that has problems printing. The reason for concern is that they were able to print out of this program before they upgraded Plotbase (earlier this year) and not they cannot. We know it's their software's problem but the thinking is that perhaps something changed in our software at the time of upgrade. Plotting to file first and then printing is not an option. Thanks. This is the new mono 25/30cpm machine. The differences I see are a 40 instead of 20G HD and standard printing. Plus 20 lbs! What am I missing? I know that HD isn't 20 lbs heavier. My boss says they "beefed it up" I don't think so. What do you think?
