Rochester's Xerox, Kodak may be headed for turf war
Art Post (Guest) ·
April. Xerox's new deal with Fuji takes it into the heart of Kodak's traditional business _ consumer photo printing. Kodak has installed some 80,000 photo kiosks where photographers can make prints in retail stores around the world. It also sells home photo printers and offers online photo printing and overnight lab photofinishing. Fuji, which divided up the snapshot market with Kodak in the film days, provides digital prints only through retailers, building on its success with one-hour photo

2090 printing?
dmurrah ·
I have a situation with a 2090 where I need the machine to give me face up out put when printing. The machine will give me face up out put when copying but not when printing. The reason we need this is they are running preprinted forms with a peel off lable at the bottom of the page. Any ideas?

Hey Jim: Actually, I uploaded the IT Chat document in the BERTL forum this morning. Thank you for your kind words on the article, however I'll have to keep selling copiers to bring home the Bacon! No ITEX for me, I'm off to Myrtle Beach this weekend (my son's College Baseball team), was in Petersburg, Va a few days ago, and then I'm off to Fort Pierce, FL for ten days the first weeks of March (more college baseball). I'm going to try to make ITEX next year, hopefully MLB will draft my guy this

I'm taking the pre-req's for the edgeline now. It's a product that has a niche market. The paper feeds from the tray up a verticle transport across the top of the machine, down the other side to a decurler. The decurler bends the paper so it will fit the drum better. A bonding agent first sprayed onto the paper before the ink is applied. It next goes to a dryer and back out to the decurler to be duplexed or sent to the finisher. It's a variable speed printer. Heavy ink coverage may

Re: 240w background
PrintDoctor (Guest) ·
Thanks Doc & Greg, A new charge was strung @ 50K. I used 2 bags of developer and cleaned the charge assy. I have a new drum on order. I have a feeling the new drum will take care of the light background on the left side when printing from files, However, I have a feeling the heavy background when scanning originals is a seperate issue.

Check to see if your customer is printing from Word Perfect. If so make sure the MFP is selected in word Perfect as the default.
