10 years ago, I sold two 45 cpm colour copiers to one law firm both located in the same copier room. I named them Bert Ernie and even put stickers for the same on each copier. The grouchy law firm after about a month asked me to remove the stickers and give each copier an IT asset name. They found it difficult to relate to a copier with a name. I have not named copiers since.

I recently read that Ricoh Corp gross profit dropped 5.2% which brought the gross profit to 184 billion yen. That 184 billion yen converts to $1,726,288,000 US dollars. I just find it amazing with all of the concerns about printing that this is an incredible number for one quarter.

. They have been selling via the GSA for many years plus at all state and municipal levels. With the US China trade war seemingly prepared to ratchet up with another 10% tariff on Sept 01 to cover virtually all imports from China (copier/ printer products are already subject to a 25% tariff), there is no end in sight until potentially after the 2020 Presidential elections (if a China friendly Democratic President is elected).
