Has anyone run into Xerox sales reps quoting a lease using the phrase "Lease Minimum Payment"? What sort of hocus pocus is this? What sort of surprises would the customer get if they signed the lease? If there is a "Lease Minimum Payment", what is the "Lease Maximum Payment"? Just noticed today that the Ricoh MP W6700SP is coming up on the three year anniversary of it's launch. The MP 6700SP has proved to be an awesome device and helping with upgrading many of the older W3601's. Lately, I'm seeing a shift in needs for wide format. More and more users are asking for color wide format and they really don't want ink based devices (except for the HP Pagewides). The CW2201SP is great but has some limitations. My theory is that Xerox is further investing its dealer channel in advance of being acquired (potentially by HP). This would help increase the value of Xerox in HP eyes as HP's interest in acquiring Xerox is largely based on Xerox's dealer/reseller networks.
