First Week of January 2017

After a small Christmas, New Years and the end of 2021 Sales Event I'm ready to get back to more of our regular schedule.  However I'm off to the Executive Connection Summit on the 16th and returning on the 19th of this month.  I'm sure I'll have a ton of interesting information and can't wait to share it with our members.

I believe Xerox first started airing the Xerox "Brother Domenic" commercials in 1977. I though the first one may have been aired with the 1977 SuperBowl, anyhow, I distinctly remember those Xerox commercials and would have thought that a mere three years later I would get my start in the copier industry! LOL

CUSA has traditionally had very confusing pricing structures that include - off-invoice, buying levels, strategic pricing. strategic vertical pricing, among many others type discounts that come off of their "base dealer price" of any particular mainframe or solution. I have spoken with 8 different leasing companies and the consensus is that all of the companies will be raising lease rates - some doing it as soon as Mid-January and others around February 1st. I have seen an email that was sent from a top 3 copier leasing company to a dealer that stated "rates will be increasing effective February 1st, 2017". In my opinion, it is not a question of "if", it is a question of "when". While the Prime rate only increased 25 basis points (quarter point), banks do
