1) Call your competitor and ask to speak to a sales person and fib about who you are, your company, and give a BS call back number. We did this many times in order to get answers to those speed, feed and feature questions. In many cases we got snagged and had to hang up....more here

Xerox said its latest offer comprises $18.40 in cash and 0.149 Xerox shares for each HP share — valuing the company at about $35 billion — and that it plans to launch a tender offer on or around March 2. I already hate to recommend people call the normal outsourced Xerox printer support number to place a service call because it is a very hard process on the customer. After you jump through all the hoops in their script, they tell you a technician will call you to schedule a time to come on site. Then the technician never calls... HP says it will answer Xerox's latest buyout offer on February 24

While Xerox had a lot to say earlier this week about its efforts to acquire HP, Palo Alto-based HP says anyone waiting for its response to Xerox’s nearly $35 billion buyout offer will have to remain patient for almost two more weeks. HP said it will hold off on saying anything more about Xerox’s offer until Feb. 24, at which time HP will report its fiscal first-quarter results, and provide “additional information” about its business plans. Xerox has expended their IT services world wide. All good propaganda however remember not long ago Xerox closed several locations nationwide requiring their employees including sales to work out of their home offices in order to save millions of dollars in overhead. So it is impossible for them to make such a huge recovery they can’t even find on the map where they are. I tried to get more details from my Ricoh production rep, he tells me more info will be available towards the end of the month and that was it, hoping for some big changes, especially in the LCT area.
