that comes to mind is Square 9 since they are in the dealer space already. 3. KonicaMinolta, Ricoh, Canon or Kyocera will purchase a wide format printer manufacturer. Could be one of these Mutoh, Mimkai, Roland, or Kip. The growth in print is real and it's with wide format color. 4. The new Fuji copier manufacturer, originally was Fuji-Xerox until Xerox sold their equity a few months ago. Fuji will partner with a mega dealer in the US for private labeling of those copiers and software solutions

program is designed to enable Chinese companies to dominate state selected strategic global industries like IT hardware. To be sure, Toshiba Tec and Lexmark have developed a deep, mutually beneficial corporate partnership. Currently, Lexmark A3 product is all relabelled Konica Minolta product. A more possible prediction is that Lexmark would relabel Toshiba Tec A3 product. Lexmark like Toshiba Tec both hold little interest to compete in the Print Production market where Konica Minolta excels

company would dedicate the resources to offer production BW and Color. I think a more logical merger would be Toshiba/Kyocera or Toshiba/Sharp. Kyoshiba? Tosharpa? I am pretty sure the Japanese do not want to lose another manufacturer to Chinese control, so I would lean more toward Toshiba/Kyocera. However, I would not dismiss the idea of a Toshiba/Fuji partnership of some sort.

That dealer owner was not familiar with Label Presses and after a few minutes I gave him a short run down of the market and why it's good for copier dealers that don't want to fuss with Managed Services. Let's face it, we're in the business of fixing machines and providing services, thus why not color label presses. Did you know that they low end only has an MSRP of $15K? In addition

Monte I don't believe you are paranoid! The ecommerce is a real threat for sales peeps. In order to over come that we as sales peeps will need to wear additional hats to better serve out clients. Those as a trusted adviser, become more knowledgeable with cloud services, IT services, MSP, MSSP. It's my belief that we will evolve from just print to be able to consult on all aspects of business office. I would love to hear from others on this as well, this is a great subject for discussion.

Other than physical size the only reason to buy an A4 MFP is price, ideally with a low cpc. To cut costs Ricoh should have went with an SSD and a 9" LCD. Do you really need stapling? Fax should be integrated into the motherboard. Very few customers scan to SD card.

I've also set up Ricoh's free 60 day trials fora number of accounts but I've never had a single customer spend the money to pay for it and keep it. Take a look at your smart phone. I do not pay extra for apps monthly and I certainly don't have to go to the Verizon store to get the app installed, set-up by their techs. The Verizon store also is
