A customer was demo'ing a canon color copier with fiery in their office. I stopped by on the second day to check to see how everything was going. The office manager asked me if there was any way that images or pictures would just randomly print off the hard drive of the system. Apparently, some very explicit images had been printed on the copier right before I got there. Rightfully so she was absolutley furious. I explained that the pictures had to have been printed by someone in the office. We

Well, rolled the copier gurney into the back of the car. Pulled out and into traffic, stopped at the light, and being young and foolish, I gunned the gas pedal with the green light. The car went forward the copier gurney and copier wne backwards and landed on the street, seems like I forgot to close the hatch!! It was a bad

Agreed, This info is hard to track down. Even harder if you want to be exact. For IKON I used the "400" figure that was published at the time of Ricoh's acquisition I pulled the 664 figure from a report on Vision 2007 Ricoh dealer meeting. That did include all RFG dealers. Interestingly, the report said that Ricoh had over 1,300 dealers in 1999. I took your suggestion and converted Xerox' GSA to excel and did the math. Agents added up to 540, but I assume that some of those are actually Global

Excellent point about non-HP devices! I hadn't considered that! Regarding the HP outlook on 11x17 I have a story to relate. I was in an HP training class and the instructor was saying "There's no reason not to recommend this device to replace a traditional copier". Being a copier guy, I had to raise my hand and say "Well, what if they need 11x17?". His response was, "Only 4% of customers actually use 11x17"... and I pounced! I told him that statistic was misrepresented. The actual statistic is

Re: Ricoh W5100
I don't believe you can use the Ratio Scantool without PB. Why can't you use the W5100 with the GW Scanner. I think this is all you need. Also, the WFCS is on the GSA Contract dated July 29, 2009. The product code is 100117FNG for $6,500. You need the "software key" that will allow you to utilize the scanner without having a Ricoh WF attached on the network. The product code is 100257FNG, $4,500 MSRP and the launch date should have been the end of October.
