The Poll idea is not intended to be personal, but to ponder the next move within Ricoh, which is continuously demonstrating that it is not a stable organization (especially Dealer Division). Chuck Parr and his family are doing quite well and shall be fine in the future.

For these models (bh C360 series), I noticed Konica Minolta once again separated imaging units into separate developer and drum units, but expanded this trend to color cons as well. KM separated mono imaging units with the C652/C552/C452 and the C200, but kept the color imaging units intact. Neal, Do you know what the motivation is for this trend In terms of usage cost, maintenance costs, or modularity? I know KM specifically improved the BW consumable costs with this generation. Do you now how

In other news, Matt Espe (IKON) will be taking control of Ricoh, as President and CEO. I guess whoever said that IKON would begin to swallow Ricoh, was indeed correct. I once joked (April Fool's) that they were putting up an IKON sign at Ricoh HQ in NJ and taking down the Ricoh sign. They may not go so far as to make that cosmetic change, but the poloitcal change has just set sail. What will the Independent Rioch / Savin / Lanier Dealers think about this change? Time will tell.

Through ImageTec, the district has networked all of its computers to the copiers so that individual printers are not needed. “Which would be more expensive,” Beckwith said.

Effective immediately, the Pro 907 and the Pro 1107 replace the DDP 92. The DDP 70e is now discontinued. In comparison to the DDP models, these new products offer stacker options. I'm not sure what the appropriate package would be, but it retails anywhere from $2,700 to $12,000. http://www.ricoh.com.au/ppt/588/Dataworks.aspx I'd probably contact your Ricoh solutions guy. Another product that may work is Reform by Fabsoft. http://www.fabsoft.com/product...part/multipart.shtml

I would look into Fabsoft's Reform Print Driver. It captures the print stream from the user's application and allows you to apply "rules." I don't know if it will do what you need but it is where I would start. I don't remember how much it is but I do remember that it was cheap. www.fabsoft.com Greg Levita (973)767-2100 ext. 505 gregl@fabsoft.com

John, I don't know if this is still a live issue for you but I thought of you while reading up on the Fiery Controller Option for the C2800/C3300 and the C4000/C5000. In an FAQ Document under wireless printing options it states, "When printing from USB removeable media, the Fiery will print Postscript and PDF File formats. If the Fiery has internet access and the Native Document Conversion option (i.e. EFI PrintMe) then you can also print native Microsoft Office Documents from your USB..."

I can't think of any way to duplicate a page (that's not just a driver/print setting/printstream issue, that's wholesale re-creation of a page) without getting a package that will do much much more (and cost more than you want to pay). How about setting up two printers with different default settings and having them print twice? If they aren't willing to pay, they either need to be willing to take extra steps or relinquish this request.

I do remember that in most printers, you can set a feature where the printer will make a copy of the page that was sent, is this still true in most printers?

Re: Vendors of Products

I would suggest that you begin to think about vtaking on another Product Line. Being a sole-line 'Dedicated' Dealer with RFG is very daunting these days. Look to a manufacturer that offers a comprehensive Managed Print Services offering. Some of these manufacturers can even sell you the compatible supplies at discounted prices, so that you can provide a complete solution when winning a larger account and taking over a fleet of machines.
