This Week in the Copier Industry Five Years Ago

Last  Week of July 2007

sponsored by

Today marks eleven months since I had my stroke a week before Labor Day.  A day does not go by that I don't remember that I am blessed with a wonderful loving wife.  Kathy was the one who picked up that I was not able to speak for a few minutes and then when I did I was having issues. After ten days in the Hospital and eleven months later I go for my echo cardiogram. If all is well then I've notched another road to recovering. For those that don't this it can happen, well think twice and get to the Doctors even if you don't have the time, you need to MAKE the time.

Enjoy These Fantastic Copier Threads from 15 years Ago!

all new model numbers. Anyway, I'd like to know who the Savin dealers are on P4P for future inter-territorials...Go Savin??? Leave it to Ricoh to oversaturate the marketplace with more RFG competition for their dealers.... Was there a Global dealer selling an RFG product previously?

Re: Ricoh Aficio League gone Savin...

Nope, no Global dealers here...just 4 (now 3) Ricoh dealers, a Lanier dealer (previously Gestetner), a RBS (out of Austin) and one Savin Dealer...US. And Ricoh wonders why we took on the Canon line 4 years ago...duh!

quote: Kodak launched a new magazine to promote the NexPress production color systems, called “ONE”. What is ironic is that the magazine is produced using a Heidelberg CD 102640 sheetfed offset printing press. (someone might want to tell Kodak that they might want to use the technology they are promoting, i.e. NexPress, to print the magazine) Wow, Art, that was a ton of work! Nice digest! FYI - Kodak bought NexPress from Heidelberg a few years ago. A friend of mine sells NexPresses, and he got

They're supposed to ensure that any special pricing is, in fact, actually going to a qualified client and it's not some racketeering scheme or some other legal boondoogle. So, Ricoh has had the client contact information several weeks before sales reps start claiming sales (which makes me wonder why some database person can't just automatically bring up your DMAP client contact for you when you

Well, I solved the mystery. It seems that on August 1, (or nowaccording to the Savin & Ricoh websites) we will become a Savin dealer and not a Ricoh dealer any more. It seems that through all the reorganization, Ricoh is opening up a RBS in our area and adding another Ricoh dealer. The bosses have decided to be the only Savin dealership here instead of having 4 Ricoh dealers in this area. Nothing will change from a pricing or tech standpoint. I now have to learn all new model numbers

If you let the cd autorun, first choose English and that should set the default for Letter not A4.Then the default drivers are displayed for PCL and RPCS. If you want both, leave them both checked. Click on the LPT1 port on that same page and select "ADD" then Standard TCP/IP Port. If the CD doesnt autorun or you want to add the drivers manually use the ADD PRINTER WIZARD, choose Have Disk and Browse Drill down to the driver you want until you see a .inf. Then click OK. Sales pros have compiled a list of 25 critical questions that organizations must be able to answer before they can achieve record-breaking sales results. Questions like: Which lead sources result in the highest percentage of closed business deals? What sales process does your best sales rep use to close the most deals? How effectively do you distribute sales leads among new and experienced sales people? Which competitors do you lose the most business to and why?
