I know years ago, this was a staple feature with the Ricoh RPCS print driver. Seems Ricoh may have eliminated this feature. When in doubt ask your Professional Imaging Rep and if you're in need

31 Ways to Close More Sales (#16 of 31)

·
There was an interesting blog that I picked up today, in that blog it spoke about how the CIA Xerox collaborated on spying on the Soviets. This was done with spies becoming copier techs and then while they were working on the Xerox copiers that would out a camera in the copier to capture a picture of every copy that was produced! On to number 16! 16. Either Or Close: Been doing this for years! With this technique you always need to present two different systems or solutions to the customer

Back in 2003, I still can't believe ten tears have slipped away that quickly,I started a small community for Ricoh copier sales people. The platform was an MSN Community (remember those), the first reason for starting the community was that after being in the business for 23 years I still couldn't get information about the Ricoh products in a timely manner and the thought of having someone call you back because you needed the information that day was non-existent. The second reason was that

market is good, Financial Planners do well when the markets are trending upward, etc. but most of them have nowhere to go when their markets tank. Our market never tanks. * We don't have collection issues that many industries have. We are at the top of every company's payee list because no matter how bad things get, they still need their copier so they have to keep us paid up. * We are not at the mercy of whoever happens to walk through our door like retail sales or auto sales.

"the era of the copy paper salesman is over"

So, I thought I would repost this article for all to read and to hear from others about the statement "the era of the copy paper salesman is over". This article was co-written by Don Broekelmann , Executive VP of Brand Management at Influence Co . B2B sales used to be much simpler. If you needed a copier, you called Xerox, and the company happily sold you one, along with a maintenance plan. Transactions were cut-and-dried, and suppliers cared much less about partnering than they did about

Eventually, the CIA began to install these surreptitious cameras into the Xerox machines in embassies of both enemies and allies. Imagine if those countries had known that the same machine that relieved them of carpal tunnel syndrome was silently sending their secrets to Washington

This does not happen when using the PostScript driver. We have an HPLJ4000 and it prints fine. This has been reprocuced from IE8 and 9. The best system we have is the Canon ImageWare Remote which no matter where the device is placed on the network. This works as long as the necessary ports are open. Which we have seen them to be open in all but the most secure networks, The other systems we use, UniFLOW, PrintFleet, ImageWARE EMC all work OK being the customer's firewall, but require us to setup a subnet or sometimes specific IP Addresses for these to get accurate meter reads. The problem is that networks are very rarely static

Re: Automatic Meter Reads

Yeti, When you have a one size fits all, take it or leave it solution you will often get a "no thank you" response from your more secure customers (Finance, Health Care, Etc.). Customers like options! Hell, I like options! Our first choice for automating meter reads is Canon's ImageWARE Remote (for the reasons described above), Our second choice is PrintFleet, the DCA software can be configured for subnets to be scanned, and it automatically reports the meter reads to a Server in the cloud
