Old Glory, Secure is now available through Ricoh. This latest version of PCSD now offers Secure Embedded, and the ability to process multiple jobs within a log in. We became a Premier Partner with Print Audit so naturally, our orders now go through them. The main differences have more to do with timing of upgrades. For instance, we have had Print Audit Secure for quite awhile but PCS Director still doesn't have it I don't think. Also, I think you'll find that you can't "sell" the PA6 software if you are a RFG Dealer. All that having been said, all the things that people care about functionally, are the same.

On all Toshiba copiers for the last five plus years, the technician can quickly enable a service code to double click thick, special, Legal, Letter-R and ledger size paper. I have the strong belief that most other copier vendors can do the same thing. Generally, from the print driver, the customer has to select thick paper. The copier has no ability to auto detect if there is thick paper in the bypass. In Toshiba terms, what thick actually means is that the paper passes a little slower through

Interesting and a very important post. You have to wonder if he knewhow further development of the process would lead to the industry we all know now. Anyone familiar with Robert P. Gundlach? He was another Rochester NY inventor who is actually noted with Carlson on the copier. As Carlson invented the Xerographic process, Gundlach developed the automation of the machine leading to multiple copies. Interested if anyone knows more.
