Interesting thread I picked up this week from @SalesServiceGuy from 10 years ago this week. Are Photocopiers potential infection points for the flu virus.
SSG goes on tho make these notes, "As a copier sales rep I like to be proactive and mention to all of the accounts that I touch in the course of a day that photocopiers, fax machines and printers can become an infection point for the flu virus for up to three days. I recommend that they sanitize the copier's control panel at least once a day with a mild spray disinfectant."

Best Used Copier for the Buck?
Hello, I sell primarily new Xerox copiers and I do not have a tech on staff. I use the Pagepack program so Xerox is responsible for this. I get a good number of used copier requests from clients and I thought I could build a program with exchange copiers available... but I need to find units that are reliable and super easy (cheap) to get in the wholesale scene. In Europe basically everyone does this, since there are fewer BTA-style dealers with in-house techs. Samsung Sampage, Kyocera KyoPack, Ricoh Click, etc. In the US, I think you can do this through Synnex PrintSolv and there are always rumors that HP has something like this on the way.

Thanks for the response. Now to answer the questions. They're using a Sage Business Works Accounting Software version 2012. It's a windows based product. At the moment each customer's invoice is printed one at a time and they're printing 3 to 4 copies of each invoice. They're currently printing to a Canon ImageRunner C5035. The company logo is the only thing in color on the invoice. The first invoice which is sent out to the customer is the only one that needs to be in color. The other copies

It does sound like more of a suite then simple print tracking. I ended up getting a hold of a rep at Equitrac and they had me forward the client a survey to fill out. The rep said something about having to buy new licenses because the old ones belong to the last vendor. Sounds like a sales pitch to me...

It is a reflection of the increased daily complexity of selling MFPs in 2013 and the resources needed to support selling beyond just the box. All copier resellers are at some Level 1 or 2 in their ability to support product but from 2A on many dealers begin to falter in their ability to promote and support software solutions.

Maybe a better question is why they are printing the invoices at all? Any beyond the customer copy should be going automatically to a document management system. We had an Auto Parts store printing three copies at every trasnaction, even transactions that were just pennies. We saved them thousands.

I actually got a hold on their IT department. Turns out they currently have an FTP server set up. The marketing department uses it to send/receive to/from clients. He said he has a Sharp AR-M700n. After taking a quick look through the service manual it looks like scan to FTP is a standard feature. He mentioned the fact that the accounting department could probably use the feature as well sending/receiving files from their parent company in NY. I'm not going to make money off this advise but it
