This Week in Copiers Fifteen Years Ago
First Week of January 2003
On Monday I'll finally be back to work to kick off my 43rd campaign for selling office technology. Originally I planned for one week off during the Christmas break, however we had a death in the family which set me back another week.
I'm excited to kick off what might be my last year.

will they release these in all markets? Remember when CANON did a limited realese with their MX7000. I still haven't seen one. What type of front ends are available? Looking forward to seeing these...It's about time but why only air assist and 12" x 18" if you get the lct. RICOH still needs to catch up with their competitors but this is a good start.

Re: Sales Tips

Art...a very good point! Might I add that not only is this important as one needs a starting off point and a game plan, but this has to be broken down into weekly and even a daily game plan. One of the things I always stressed with my salesmen was to sit down either Sunday night or early Monday morning and put together what they wanted to accomplish this week. Every evening to put together their next day. Never...never come into the office and not know what you're doing the minute your feet hit

Re: MFP Leasing Companies Crying About Portfolio's
Art, I would sincerely consider not badgering lease companies like this. As we all know times in these industries are tough. I personally work with some major title companies which are closing down offices and such. The exceptional service/support from USXL far surpasses most "A" level lease companies. Concentrate on managed print services and diversify industries.

Re: MFP Leasing Companies Crying About Portfolio's
Art, you know I love ya like a brother but I have to agree with Larry on this one. I have very conservative values and I believe that the entity taking on the risk, gets to make the rules. Obviously, we have the choice whether to except them. You know as well as I do that print-4-pay accounts are tougher to finance. Why? Because they are higher risk. It has always been that way because relatively speaking, most small print shops have little invested and can close up shop in a heart beat

Good Stuff about securing Your Personal Information

. Instead, just put the last four numbers. The credit card company knows the rest of the number, and anyone who might be handling your check as it passes through all the check processing channels won't have access to it. 3. Put your work phone # on your checks instead of your home Phone. If you have a PO Box use that instead of your home address. If you do not have a PO Box, use your work address. Never have your SS# printed on your checks. (DUH!) You can add it if it is necessary But if you have
