The Week in Copiers Fifteen Years Ago This Week In 2005, the Second Week of August

Lately it's been a little bit of a struggle to get focused for prospecting.  After 5 months the wear and tear of COVID19 is rearing it's ugly head.  It's days like these when I need to press the reset button and think about what sales would be like if I was not prospecting.  That's not a pretty world for me and I need to self motivate. One of my favorite ways to self motivate is to schedule time for happy up beat tunes. I'll be doing that as soon as I finish this blog.

The other day I spoke to three different reps from three different dealerships, with myself that will make four. Why are we still waiting for upto six week for equipment? I have heard reports of orders that have been placed and lost several times, equipment that will not go out the door because a sticker is missing for the hardware, orders that just can not be palced due to the new software. Does anybody use the built in accounting by typing in job info from either the plot base, scantool or plot client, at the moment I see all data going to a single csv, wondering if it is easy to have them go to separtate files based on the contents of one of the fields? Toshiba Estudio 520

I'm in a very tough battle with Toshiba. I'm quoting a 2051 sp against an Estudio 520. Any advice? It's a state agency, and their state contract price is at least $800.00 below my COST - before I even add any markup. I believe I can sell this customer, but if anyone can offer any suggestions, I'm willing to listen.

Not that I know of yet. Was it part of the Seri configuration? I knew they were developing that, but thought it was going to be a Seri hybrid - that is using a resin ink. Also, how many heads did it have? My information says that they might have up to 6 heads when all said and done. They are supposed to be replacing the 8500 with a unit that has the HQ master technology, with much greater functionality at the control panel. Any new news of that?

Art, We are in the same boat....... guess we just get to grab our ankles...... I think we should hold back payment for the equipment for three to four months and tell them that we bought new software and can't cut a check...... I wonder how they would feel about that? This is getting to be a very serious issue that no one seems to be accountable for.... I wrote nearly 50,000 in equipment last month and couldnt bill any of it. Maybe we need to get everyone here together and send a letter to the Chairman of the BOard expressing our displeasure for their lack of responsibilty. I have already written 150,000K for this month and have no idea when I can install equipment. We do not get paid until the customer pays!

You only need to post in one Forum. The 20mb spool file you see, that is at the customer's site with their file? If you make your own file around the same size, does it print as slow? I have seen 1 inch x 1 inch .jpg's turn out to be 11x17 files squeezed down fit where the customer wants it in powerpoint. If it is just one document, you can try eliminating some graphics to see if a particular one is causing a problem. Print half the file, if the print speed is half of what it was before, print

If these kines are apparent on the internal prints, then the line has to be from the print engine or the image processing.since you've covered the drum area try reloading the firmware,or replacethe mcu.
