For the first half of the year, U.S. hardware sales witnessed a substantial 23% increase compared to the previous year. Notable growth areas included A3 color MFPs (up 103%) and A4 sales (up 196%), despite units being on backorder last year. Production print also experienced a significant uptick, rising by 113%.

2. Focus on Innovation: Ricoh unveiled plans for upcoming product launches, including a new A4 device capable of accepting 11’x17” A3 sheets from the bypass tray. Additionally, the company teased the launch of new color laser A4 devices in early 2024 and color laser A3 MFPs in 2024, featuring a hard toner lock designed to enhance profitability.

3. Technological Advancements: Ricoh provided a sneak peek into its cutting-edge production unit, the Ricoh Pro Z75 production color inkjet system. This state-of-the-art system boasts a maximum duty cycle of 1.7 million and features advanced technology such as multi drop on-demand piezo crystal print-head technology, liquid cooling for print-heads, and high-efficiency ink dryer units.

4. Strategic Business Moves: Ricoh made significant business decisions, including transferring its optical business to T Capital Partners Co., Ltd., which encompasses in-vehicle stereo cameras and projector optical lens modules manufacturing. Additionally, Ricoh became the official distributor in the U.S. for products from Scodix of The Netherlands, expanding its offerings to include digital press embellishment systems.

5. Global Recognition and Expansion: Ricoh proudly announced the milestone of shipping 15 million scanner products globally, following its acquisition of the scanner division of Fujitsu in 2022. These scanners have been installed in over 100 countries, solidifying Ricoh's global presence.

6. Awards and Recognition: The event was not just about business; Ricoh also revealed the destination for its next dealer awards trip - the beautiful Island of Malta in Europe, a token of appreciation for its hardworking dealers.
