Recently, our company approached the IT director at a large university, already a customer, about managed print services. We felt like he was a perfect fit for our printer management software. This customer, already very busy with his IT related duties, was being overwhelmed by requests for new toner cartridges from the users of the universities laser printers, sometimes as many as 20 per day. Instead of, or really in addition to, everything else on this man’s plate, he was having to order lots of toner and try to keep it all straight.
We told him he was a perfect candidate for our managed print service: a small piece of software that sits on his server that finds, then monitors, all the printers on the network. Then when each printer gets down to a level of toner remaining, set by him, the software automatically fires off an order for more toner. The printer has been given a unique name during set up, so that when the toner arrives from UPS, the label will let him know exactly which printer it is for. Now, his printers order their own toner, without him having to do anything, and even better, he gets all the toners right on time, so he doesn’t have to keep a lot of toner on hand.
The best part is the cost..............http://www.execbusinessproduct...vices-success-story/
