Dear RFG Dealer Principal:
As you know, we have been experiencing disruptions in toner availability for the Pro C651EX/C751EX/C751, which has resulted in longer than usual turnaround times. This disruption is due to stronger than anticipated demand on these units, resulting in a higher demand for supplies. We recognize the critical nature of the supplies to keep your customer’s machines up and running. To minimize the impact, toner is being expedited from Ricoh’s manufacturing facilities to our warehouses on a daily basis, and we anticipate a large shipment of all four toners in our warehouses this week. This will address many of the pending backorders.
We will continue to work with our Ricoh production facilities to improve our inventory position and evaluate our forecast, and will continue to expedite raw components from Japan and increase toner production. We anticipate that we will experience continued sporadic disruptions for the Pro C651EX/C751EX/C751 toner through the second week of March. Ricoh will continue to air ship product from the factory to our warehouses until we return to regular toner stocking levels, which is expected by the end of March.
We recognize that the recent toner backorders and longer shipment cycle times may have caused some concern on product availability. We ask for your assistance in not “ordering up” on these toners as this may further impact toner disruptions. We will continue to monitor order quantities of these toners to ensure the ordering levels are consistent with purchase history.
Please be assured that we are taking every effort to resolve this backorder situation quickly and resume regular supply levels.
